History

Many people associate “Green” in our company name with environmentally friendly because corncobs are all-natural and renewable.  Others think it is linked to our origin in the alfalfa dehydration business when we made pellets from alfalfa for animal feed.  The fact is Clifford Green founded a family-owned company in 1947. 

Green Products is still family-owned, but it is now owned by brothers Mathew and Russell Schryver.  In the mid-1980’s, Matt and Rusty began to evaluate diversification opportunities and shortly thereafter, the plant was revamped to produce a full-range of milled-corncob products.

Twenty-five years later, we are an industry leader and a worldwide supplier for milled corncob products.  Our trucking operation has grown too, and it complements the corncob processing business.  Along the way Green Pet Products was formed to focus on pet bedding and bird litter markets.
