Delivery & Packaging

Bulk delivery can be accomplished using hopper-bottom, walking-floor, or pneumatic semi-trailers.  Hopper-bottom trailers deliver approximately 24 tons and they empty through openings in the bottom of the trailer.  Walking-floor trailers deliver approximately 22 tons and they empty from the back of the trailer.  Pneumatic trailers have a capacity of 16 – 22 tons of corncob and they off-load the product by blowing the product through tubes into storage bins.

The standard packaging for bagged product is one ton per pallet.  Most products are packaged in 40-pound bags with 50 bags per pallet.  The approximate dimensions of a pallet of bagged corncob are 42”W x 48”L x 66”H.

Bulk-bags are also commonly used to transport corncob products and we utilize two standard sizes.  The approximate bulk-bag capacities are 1,000 pounds for the smaller bag and 2,000 pounds for the larger bag.
